The sun may not be shinning as much, your polish is beginning to fade, and the humidity may not be as high, but that doesn’t mean your body is safe. The colder weather can effect your hair, skin, and nails just as much, if not more.
1. In the summer, everyday you are sure to use suntan lotion or tanning lotion to help prevent sunburns, and skin cancer because the UVB rays (burning rays) are very strong. When fall comes around, you usually put the sunscreen in the cabinet and forget all about it. WELL YOU CAN’T! All though the UVB rays are no longer as strong, the UVA rays (aging rays) are still just as strong. You should use an spf of 30 or higher everyday. It will help to prevent premature aging. For your whole body you can use an Epionce: Active Shield Lotion spf30+, and if you are looking for something for just your face, try Dermalogica’s: Dynamic Skin Recovery spf30.
2. As the weather gets colder, your hair becomes dry and less able to hold humidity. Switch to a deeper-conditioning conditioner, or come in once a month and get a deep conditioning treatment. It will have your hair looking healthier and feeling silky smooth, in a matter of minutes!
3. You may love getting manicures and pedicures in bright pinks and oranges, along with fun designs, but those trends are not necessary for the fall. Try dark metallic’s such as red and gray for the fall. They are the in colors for fall. Come in and get a manicure and pedicure to try out these in colors for fall, and if your looking for polish that isn’t going to chip, get a shellac manicure. They are great and can last up to 2 weeks.
Use these tips, and you will be sure to have beautiful skin, hair, and nails for the fall season, while having everyone guessing what you have been doing.
